Brief
Redesign a pre-selected product with the brand identity of a randomly selected brand. Therefore my personal brief was to redesign the cassette player in the style of Swatch.
Inspiration
I played on the concept of Swatch's iconic Jellyfish watch that lets the user see the inner mechanism of the product. I believe that both watches and cassette players have very beautiful mechanisms that should not be hidden from the user.

Concept Development
I considered both the aesthetic and functional design of the product. I played with the idea of the Jellyfish watch by enabling users to see how their music is being played through a window. The 2-tone contrasting colours were largely inspired by the Swatch phone.
The final concept features playful and intuitive controls through the tilting dial, allowing the user to play, pause, fast forward and rewind their music.
